For example, when I try to calculate TVM, the Casio displays all the input fields on screen so you can enter values like you do on a PC. <br/><br/>Also, when you enter a calculation, you see the all the numbers display on the screen (i.e. "10+20+30x40"), so you can verify all the inputs after you finish pressing all the keys. <br/><br/>This Casio is powered by both the solar panel and a backup battery. So when you're in a dim environment, the battery will kick in and still allowing you to use the calculator. <br/><br/>The keys are easy to press and the layout are user friendly. <br/><br/>One reviewer mentioned that Casio doesn't display comma to seperate 1,000s, this may cause some confusion if you're doing a lot of calcuation with a lot of zeros. I don't find this to be a problem at all. <br/><br/>The only bad thing about Casio is that I wish the size is a little bit smaller. This review is from: Casio FC-200V Financial Calculator with 4-Line Display (Office Product)

I bought this because I’m currently taking a finance class at a local university. Compare to the older model of Texas Instruments BA II calculator that I owned a couple years ago, this Casio FC-200V is much more intuitive. For example, when I try to calculate TVM, the Casio displays all the input fields on screen so you can enter values like you do on a PC.

Also, when you enter a calculation, you see the all the numbers display on the screen (i.e. “10+20+30×40″), so you can verify all the inputs after you finish pressing all the keys.

This Casio is powered by both the solar panel and a backup battery. So when you’re in a dim environment, the battery will kick in and still allowing you to use the calculator.

The keys are easy to press and the layout are user friendly.

One reviewer mentioned that Casio doesn’t display comma to seperate 1,000s, this may cause some confusion if you’re doing a lot of calcuation with a lot of zeros. I don’t find this to be a problem at all.

I teach finance at the university at undergraduate level and our department recommends using this calculator for the students. The calculator work well for fundamentals of finance classes where the number of years are even numbers and do not include decimals. I have used this calculator to calculate bonds in advance finance classes were the number of years includes decimals (i.e. 1.71786). The answers it gives you are wrong. I studied Finance and Mathematics.

TI Professional:
Pro:
1. You may use this in Actuarial exams or CFA exams.
2. Once you get used to it, it is a good calculator. Most finance textbooks gives examples using TI calculator.

Con:
1. Harder to use than Casio, but not too hard.
2. Battery supported, you should change your battery before going into the Actuarial or CFA exam if you have been using this calculator for awhile. I believe it lasts about 1-3 years.

If you are looking for a calm and informative examination of the relevant issues, based on historical episodes across the developed world, you should be grateful that a team of IMF economists headed by Paolo Mauro and comprising both country and fiscal experts have put this information together. This book is the result and it is excellent. Not surprisingly, it carries endorsements from giants of the field who span the ideological spectrum: Summers, Rodrik, Auerbach, Alesina. Great app. Nice user interface. My only complaint is that I can’t seem to bookmark where I left off reading. When I exit the app it returns me back to the cover page when I reopen the app. Am I just overlooking this functionality?

A more complete collection is available in Japan, but it is very difficult to find and import. Neither is it limited solely to marches. Sousa wrote 136 marches; this set contains only 116 tracks. Moreover, three of the included tracks are not marches. As of April 2009, this is the most complete collection of Sousa marches available in America. A more complete collection is available in Japan, but it is very difficult to find and import. As such, this is the recourse most people will have for Sousa marches.

The title of this box set is misleading. Unfortunately, the collection is not complete. Neither is it limited solely to marches. Sousa wrote 136 marches; this set contains only 116 tracks. Moreover, three of the included tracks are not marches. Therefore, twenty-three marches are omitted from this collection. They are:

2. Foshay Tower Washington Memorial
3. Golden Star
4. Homeward Bound
5. Honoured Dead
6. In Memoriam (Pres. Garfield’s Funeral)
7. Library of Congress
8. Old Ironsides
9. Pan Americans

11. Pres. Garfield’s Inauguration
12. Pride of Pittsburgh
13. Quilting Party
14. Recognition
15. Review
16. Royal Trumpets
17. Royal Welch Fusiliers No. 1 (1929) — Not to be confused with the Royal Welch Fusiliers No. 2 (1930). The second of the two is often simply referred to as “Royal Welch Fusiliers”–though there are two such marches. This collection includes the second of the two.
18. Salutation
19. Universal Peace
20. USAAC (U.S. Army Air Corps)
21. March [Untitled, 1930]

23. Wildcats (Salute to Kansas) — Not to be confused with “The Kansas Wildcats”

As mentioned, three pieces included in this collection are not marches. They are:

2. We Are Coming
3. When the Boys Come Sailing Home

(The Amazon track list incorrectly states that this set contains “Matt Morgan’s Living Pictures” instead of “Pushing On”. However, the list of realaudio sample tracks is correct.)

The quality of the recordings (digitally cleaned/remastered from the original LPs) is excellent, for the most part. There are better versions of some of these marches available on CDs here and there, but for the vast majority of these marches, this collection is the best version available at the date of this review.

Listeners looking for a truly complete collection of Sousa marches will be disappointed at the missing twenty-three marches; nevertheless, the high quality and the fact that most of Sousa’s marches are included here means that this collection is the best available outside of Asia. Four out of five stars.
